JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a developer to support our Business Intelligence teams in a critical initiative to optimize our Debt Resolution data for use with agentic AI tools. This role will focus on curating our existing, disparate datasets in BigQuery to develop a complete, single-source-of-truth customer lifecycle reporting and analysis package. The ultimate goal will be optimizing these new datasets for use with our in-house agentic AI tools, enabling business users to leverage natural language for querying and complex data analysis. The ideal candidate is an expert in SQL and dataset design, possesses a strong understanding of data governance and AI for data analysis, and is comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment with BI teams, business partners, and data engineering
Key Skills
- Dataset Design & Curation:
– Design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive, single-source-of-truth dataset for the
debt resolution customer lifecycle, consolidating disparate data sources within
BigQuery.
– Conduct in-depth data investigation and analysis to ensure data accuracy,
completeness, and integrity across all curated datasets.
– Translate complex business partner requirements into actionable, high-performance,
and scalable data models. - AI & Analytics Optimization:
– Structure and optimize new datasets specifically for consumption by agentic AI tools,
enabling accurate and efficient natural language querying.
– Develop and curate comprehensive metadata, data dictionaries, and business
definitions in Open Metadata and BigQuery to ensure AI tools can effectively
understand data context for complex analyses.
– Actively use, test, and evaluate the in-house agentic AI tool, providing structured feedback to development teams for improvement, refinement, and future enhancements. - Stakeholder Collaboration:
new and updated data models meet both existing and future reporting needs.
– Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to identify and prioritize the ingestion of
new data sources, defining transformation logic to produce accurate business data.
– Support BI teams in migrating existing Tableau reports and dashboards to utilize the
new curated datasets, ensuring a seamless transition, data validation, and performance.
- Data Governance:
Implement and uphold data governance best practices throughout the dataset curation
process, including standards for data quality, privacy, documentation, and lifecycle
management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Skills:
○ Expert-level proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, window functions, CTEs, and performance optimization within a cloud data warehouse environment (BigQuery preferred).
○ Proven, hands-on experience with Tableau, particularly in data source creation, optimization, and report migration.
○ Deep experience in modern dataset design, data modeling, and data warehousing principles (AI optimization experience preferred) - Core Competencies:
○ Demonstrable experience in a business intelligence, data analytics, or data engineering role with a strong focus on dataset creation and curation.
○ Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
○ Excellent analytical and data investigation skills, with a keen eye for detail and data quality.
○ Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and vice-versa
